At the end of the second game for each of us, my daughter was completely distraught that she had a lower score than her brother. Never mind that it was the third time she’d been bowling. Ever. Never mind that they were using bumpers. Never mind that she’s 10… Oh, wait, that does explain a lot.
Anyway, Anne took her outside and somehow talked her down off the ledge. She came back in a few minutes later, and ended up kicking my butt (not to mention her brother’s) with a 101. We all got to go home happy. Thank you, Anne, for saving the evening.
